BUFD Joins In Monarchs Housing/Parade

BUFD was invited to join Monarch's Station 6 parade and housing on Saturday August 22. The parade included Monarch, Mt. Penn, Birdsboro-Union, Earl, Fleetwood and several other neighboring area companies. Over 50 pieces of apparatus were included and displayed in the parade. Early Morning Crash

Rescue 7 was dispatched to Geigertown Rd Sunday, July 19 at 03:53am for a pickup truck into a telephone pole. On arrival, a black pickup truck severed a telephone with no occupants still on location. The wires remained intact and crews searched the area for any possible occupants of the vehicle. Fatal Accident On Shed Rd

On July 16 at approximately 6:09pm, station 7 was dispatched to the area of Chestnut St/ Shed Rd for reports of a smoking vehicle overturned into the woods. On arrival, Chief 7 confirmed on Shed Rd, a box truck struck a tree off the side of the roadway with one male occupant heavily entrapped. The patient was extricated and CPR was attempted. 2 Vehicle Accident Closes 724

On July 3 at 2:18pm, Station 7 was dispatched to the area of School St / E Main St for a 2 vehicle MVA with injuries. On arrival, Chief 7 confirmed 2 vehicles were involved with one occupant entrapped. By 2:32 the patient was extricated from the vehicle and transported to the hospital. BUFD's Pierce Aerial Scope Leaves For South Carolina

On July 2, the BUFD said goodbye to its 2005 Pierce 75' Aerial Scope as it made its way to its new home in the city of Woodruff, South Carolina. The pierce aerial scope was in service with the BUFD for over ten years as it responded to hundreds of calls not only in Birdsboro Boro and Union Twp but neighboring areas as well.
