Station 7 was dispatched to Wahl Street in Union Twp. for an odor of natural gas outside. A 4 man crew with Engine 7 along with Chief 7 arrived and deployed a 4 gas meter to check the area. After testing at multiple properties and finding nothing crews went available. Upon returning to station crews started to clean 1000’ of 5” and 850’ of 3” hose when Company 7 was alerted to a MVA at Main and Shed Roads. Rescue 7 went responding with a crew of 7 followed by utility 7 with 2 and Chief 7 with Command 7 crew arrived on location and provided spill containment and provided BLS until a second ambulance arrived. Once cleared from the scene crews returned to station to finish cleaning and repacking the hose. Once again the BUFD cannot thank our members for the effort that they all put forth every day to ensure the readiness of themselves and the equipment for the safety of the public.
